No Rescue

All that’s left is a worn out girl

Her broken heart longs to ache no more

Each day is a new struggle

She feels like the pain will never end

No one knows what’s happening

How lost and scared she is

She hurts alone and waits

Someone will come save her

Someone will see her tears

Time seems longer and longer

Hours drag by

For a heavy heart with no relief,

The light ahead looks too far off to reach

She drifts on an open ocean

So vast all that lay ahead are waves

No shore to rest her weary head

No boat to rescue her tired soul
