A lonely fire burns slowly, steadily

No fuel does feed the scalding flame

Yet burn it does, a remarkable thing

Without either food nor pay

The fire resides in each of us

Some are engulfed by its heat

Fed so much, it grows in size
Until everyone feels its fever
 

Others have a glowing ember

Not burning as of yet

But all it takes is a crucial moment

For ignition to begin

Mine is lonely, unassuming

Starving yet no hunger showing

In desperate need of fuel and care

Yet burning still

Showing no signs of stopping

The fire is my love.

Beauty is an illusion,

To feed one’s mind off of other’s impressions,

To generalize humanity under a mask of deception,

To pollute nature with lies of acceptance,

Don’t fear yourself nor everything around you,

See it, embrace it and live it as it was gifted to you,

And once the superficial layer of change has past and your subconscious is no longer afraid,

Only then will joy flood your mind,

And you will be truly beautiful.

Time. It’s an interesting thing.

Too much of it is bad, but so is too little.

We seem to always be running out of time, it sees us and flees, a shadow in the night.

Time. The most precious thing in the world.

Used up and tossed away like a joke told one too many times.

It always seems to catch up to us, time.

We run and hide like children, scared of the dark, scared of what will come next, scared of running out of time.

Time. You can’t avoid it.

But really, what is time?
A human creation to explain the world around us.
To make us feel like there is a point.
Time. Only an idea.
A place with a blue and yellow sky, with mountains that glisten orange in the light.

A place where clocks melt, a place with no time.
A bending of the rules.
Time. Such an important thing.

The biggest human fear.

Running out of time.

You start to feel comfortable, like you’ve escaped time,

would i look up high from a tower
dream of adventures waiting for me
right across the big blue sea
thoughts of a brilliant love
the wings of a dove
wanting to explore a lot more

wondering through every door

looking everywhere i can see

is this really me
