Never wrote

You are the poem I never wrote

You are the test I never took

You are the game I never played

You are the chance I never get

You are the feeling I never felt

You are the joke I never got

You are the lie I never knew

You are the question i never asked

You are the dream I never had

You are the voice I wont stop hearing

You are everything…………………………………………….

Better Day’s

http://www.bipolar4lifesupport.co on line support group

Its wonderful, the ugly things.
Its electrifying, the simple things.

Its blinding, the lovely things.

Dreaming dreams.
Never aging, world still sings.

Dancing, laughing, loving.

Crying, screaming, sobbing.

All alone, Smiling.
Still feeling the world is beautiful.

Lets sing together, ageless type, sinful.

Lets sing together, dance in the magic.

The last of us, fantastic.

Don’t be lonely, don’t feel worthless.

Innocent people, you are boundless.

Take my hand, lets fly away.

Live the better days.

Feeling so blue

Overshadowed I am
No hope and no place to return
What I sense and not is just another battle towards depression
Things only offer me sorrow and I feel blue.
Being blue is not my choice although it has turned to be the only selection
So, it is an unwanted choice and not a thing which I willingly would experience
Trust me on one thing that I would have changed a lot of things If I really could
The choices are very little though nobody understands.
Being wounded is really the only choice and that always comes back
I am sorry since I cannot write happy things when my soul is crying
Just want to get rid of all the suffering, but how?
Feeling so blue because I am cursed
When will you bless me?
Only you can alter the winds of me being unlucky
Who is that you?
Is it the higher power?

Storm

on line support group http://www.bipolar4lifesupport.co

A crack in the winter sky
lets the rain pour down,
flooding the land beneath.

Clouds congregate as
darkness sets in,
consuming the light
before another storm.

I climb beneath the shelter
of my lonely shell,
fragile,
yet it offers me protection.

And I try to remember
the encouraging words
I heard not long ago:

“Just remember to breathe,
for this too shall pass.”

Un-titled

on line support group http://www.bipolar4lifesupport.co

Will you understand
Or will you see
Can you handle the girl
I transformed to be

Angry, sad
Sometimes happy
You think its a game
You think I’m acting

Pill after pill
Which one will fail me now?
I’ve got to control my being
Some way, some how

I cry
I scream
I wish I would die
Still you don’t understand
You just ask me “why”

I’m happy
I’m laughing
God it’s been so long
Better enjoy it
Before its gone

Is this real?
All the things I feel..
Or is this fake?
Something to test my fate

I can’t control me
I hope you can see
I do truly love you
Your everything that I need

Here we go
I’m aggressive again
Now your pissed off
And say I’m no lady
I act like a man

I don’t get to choose
When my mood will change
It just takes over
And puts my true self in a cage

Insomnia is here
A night so far
While its so near
Please don’t give up on me
I need you here

This isn’t me
Please hold my hand
Keep me close
But catch me if you can

“I get kinda dark
Let it go to far
I can be obnoxious at times
But try to see my heart
Because I need you now
So don’t let me down
Your the only thing in this world
I would die without”

Sound advice

If you are newly diagnosed with bipolar disorder, the label can be intimidating and you can feel overwhelmed. Here are some things to keep in mind, a bit of advice from a friend who has been there…

•The sooner you come to terms with your diagnosis and work your treatment plan, the sooner you are on the road to getting back your life
•Get enough sleep and watch your stress level
•Be honest with your doctor- the more he/she knows, the more helpful they can be. If you don’t trust your doctor or believe they are the best at what they do, find another doctor
•Find a positive and encouraging peer support group
•Take your medicine. Push past the side effects. And if the side effects are too much, talk to your doctor. Don’t make decisions regarding your medicine without your doctor’s input and approval.
•Don’t do street drugs. They interfere with the prescribed medicine. Yes, even marijuana does. You certainly won’t get better because of them and they will most likely only impede your recovery.
•Know the difference between a feeling and a mood.
•Know the difference between emotional issues verses the symptoms of bipolar.
•You can live a rich life in spite of this disorder or you can become the victim of it. You get to decide.
•Know that you are not alone.

Anger managment tips

Do you find yourself fuming when someone cuts you off in traffic? Does your blood pressure go through the roof when your child refuses to cooperate? Anger is a normal and even healthy emotion — but it’s important to deal with it in a positive way. Uncontrolled anger can take a toll on both your health and your relationships.

Ready to get your anger under control? Start by considering these 10 anger management tips.

No. 1: Take a timeout

Counting to 10 isn’t just for kids. Before reacting to a tense situation, take a few moments to breathe deeply and count to 10. Slowing down can help defuse your temper. If necessary, take a break from the person or situation until your frustration subsides a bit.

No. 2: Once you’re calm, express your anger

As soon as you’re thinking clearly, express your frustration in an assertive but nonconfrontational way. State your concerns and needs clearly and directly, without hurting others or trying to control them.

No. 3: Get some exercise

Physical activity can provide an outlet for your emotions, especially if you’re about to erupt. If you feel your anger escalating, go for a brisk walk or run, or spend some time doing other favorite physical activities. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that can leave you feeling happier and more relaxed than you were before you worked out.

No. 4: Think before you speak

In the heat of the moment, it’s easy to say something you’ll later regret. Take a few moments to collect your thoughts before saying anything — and allow others involved in the situation to do the same.

No. 5: Identify possible solutions

Instead of focusing on what made you mad, work on resolving the issue at hand. Does your child’s messy room drive you crazy? Close the door. Is your partner late for dinner every night? Schedule meals later in the evening — or agree to eat on your own a few times a week. Remind yourself that anger won’t fix anything, and might only make it worse.

Build skills to endure hardship Resilience

Resilience means being able to adapt to life’s misfortunes and setbacks. Test your resilience level and get tips to build your own resilience.
By Mayo Clinic Staff

When something goes wrong, do you tend to bounce back or fall apart?

When you have resilience, you harness inner strength that helps you rebound from a setback or challenge, such as a job loss, an illness, a disaster or the death of a loved one. If you lack resilience, you might dwell on problems, feel victimized, become overwhelmed or turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as substance abuse.

Resilience won’t make your problems go away — but resilience can give you the ability to see past them, find enjoyment in life and better handle stress. If you aren’t as resilient as you’d like to be, you can develop skills to become more resilient.

Resilience means adapting to adversity

Resilience is the ability to roll with the punches. When stress, adversity or trauma strikes, you still experience anger, grief and pain, but you’re able to keep functioning — both physically and psychologically. Resilience isn’t about toughing it out, being stoic or going it alone. In fact, being able to reach out to others for support is a key component of being resilient.

Resilience and mental health

Resilience offers protection from various mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety. Resilience can also help offset factors that increase the risk of mental health conditions, such as lack of social support, being bullied or previous trauma. If you have an existing mental health condition, being resilient can improve your ability to cope.
